Bullock Driven Tractor

Collaboration with IITP Delhi's RuTAG.

The goal of the Bullock Driven Tractor team, in collaboration with IIT Delhi's RuTAG, is to create an ergonomic and cost-effective bullock-driven tractor that preserves the bullock’s energy in order to help rural farmers in India. We are doing this project to provide a fresh set of eyes on the issue and innovate new and more effective solutions to this problem.

Creating a more efficient tractor allows rural farmers in India to cultivate crops at a faster rate, thus improving their quality of life as well as helping the economy of their community.

Our team from Purdue has been working closely with IITP Delhi's RuTAG, receiving guidance and suggestions throughout the project. They meet with the team occasionally through video calls and are extremely helpful to our group.

Currently, the bullock-driven tractor team is working on manufacturing a metallic model of the tractor. This includes welding, woodworking, creating CAD models, and many more exciting things! We are projected to complete the project by the end of 2023.
