Bullock Driven Tractor

Spring 2020-Present

The hard-working and dedicated students of this group have spent the last 3 years redesigning the bullock-driven tractor in India! Here is some info and facts about the project.

Problem Statement

The goal for our team is to redesign a current model of the tractor to become further ergonomic and cost-effective. The tractor should efficiently lift farming attachments for wheat farmers in rural India.

Requirements & Key Stakeholders

Requirement 1: Must be cost effective (<$350 dollars)

Requirement 2: Must be able to lift the weight of the plow out of the ground with relative ease

Requirement 3: Must have a high ease of use, be able to operate without difficult barriers of education or age. 

Requirement 4: Plow will have the ability to adjust plowing heights to accommodate for different crops.

Farmers - people receiving technology

Purdue and RuTAG - universities helping with the project
